The team worked collaboratively with local legislatures and the City of Cortland's Mayor Brian Tobin to develop a strong visual presence for the city's second ten million dollar Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant application. My role was to help organize a small team of students, alumni, and faculty from Tompkins Cortland Community College to develop a concept/tagline, photographic stills, and a video to provide the grant with a visual narrative that would elicit an emotional response to the grant's project proposals. The resulting video, Building Up Cortland, by Chad Diamond Dann and script by Prof. Chris Xaver, and the still photographs were used in the winning 10 million dollar grant application. The photographs represented above are some of my contributions as a lead photographer. The timeline for the production aspect of the grant work was only a month, a very short time frame for such a large undertaking. The work took place outside of curricular work.
